Lately...

We celebrated Vessie's birthday on March first by going to Ruby River and then playing games/watching The Bachelor Finale at the Green Room.

We saw Alice in Wonderland in 3D with Dane, Korine, and Angie. It was quite an interesting movie.I made my first sewing craft (although I did a lot of it by hand because I'm still a little bit scared of my machine).Here it is close-up...Saturday night Angie, Devon, and I went shopping and then we all met up for dinner at CPK.

On Saturday I was teasing Devon because he has some warts on his hand. I boasted that my stellar immune system had fought off the wart virus YEARS ago.
Then, God punished me. I woke up with a wart on my foot! NO LIE!
Now we are both warty.

So, I'm feeling a little proud of myself because I've made about three consecutive dinners without it tasting gross or a major mishap. Last night I was especially excited about dinner. This is what we had: Chicken slow-cooked in the crock pot with cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and Italian seasoning (recipe from Lauren); rice with the chicken sauce poured over it; vegetable kabobs grilled in Mr. Yoshida's Sweet and Savory sauce. The only bad thing was that the onions on the kabob didn't get cooked well enough and tasted to raw for my liking.. so I didn't eat those.
Anytime I did something creative or "housewife-esque" my grandma would call me a Suzy Homemaker, and last night I felt like a Suzy Homemaker!

Glassman/Dickson ski trip

The Glassmans and Dicksons came up for a ski trip over President's Day weekend. It was so much fun! We went skiing in Park City on Saturday and everyone went again on Monday, but Shira and I couldn't resist the call to shop. We also went to PF Chang's for Mark's Birthday. I won't say how old he is because he might get mad. ;) The weekend was such a blast!

Shira dropped us off and went shopping with her friend from Hawaii, Meg.Best ski trip with Devon EVER (except for the part where I almost broke my finger)!Colton knows how to work the camera! He is a natural!Colton got his pants a little wet so we had to strip him down. He was so cute on Uncle Tanner's shoulders. We covered his plummer's crack with Tanner's hood. We were crackin' up.Mark bought us super cute matching scarves from Tai Pan!Love this boy.

My Trip to NC

On Feb 16, I left for NC for ten days! It was so much fun to relax and spend time with my family. For the record, I did miss Devon, but I hadn't seen my family since August, so it was overdue and much needed.

This is Hayley with her birthday presents from Devon and me. I couldn't get her to smile normal. She is such a goofball!

Riley was my buddy the whole time I was there. We'd work on his homework together, play XBox MLS soccer, and lie by the fire while watching the Olympics. He is the sweetest 7-year-old boy in the world!On Friday I drove down to Fayetteville with my mom to go to a sewing class. We got there early so we could have Sarah's amazing home cooked lunch... fried chicken, baked beans, cornbread, field peas and rice, pork, fish, vanilla pound cake... it was delicious!!Me, Mom, Sarah, Uncle David, Aunt BettieWe met our good friends Jenn and Grayden Decker for dinner at Jason's Deli (they moved from Provo, UT to Fayetteville, NC in October). It was so fun to see them. Grayden is talking so much! He is the cutest. Jenn is due with their second boy in April. Devon was very bummed that he wasn't there to see his buddy Grayden. :)I had to say "Show me your teeth" to get Grandpa to smile, and this is what I got.
